Arrgggggggggg

First week back in training proper - day in day out training with one day off and my legs are shot. Having said that my sprits are really high, weight is coming down and the ride on Sat morning was fantastic. I went out on the race bike with a couple of new gadgets on it - new brakes and new tri bars. I definitely need a change in gear selection as I just dont have enough selection for anything over a slight incline.

Still on the flat it flies - but back in the spare room on the turbo for now until the first race of the off season in a couple of weeks

Must Tri Harder

Well I guess the blog title says it all but it is so hard to get motivated during the winter. My little running mate is also out of action so no fun runs in the park for a while.

Still enough moaning better to get out of this nice warm bed and onto the turbo trainer - which bores me stupid. Think that I may have to invest in a set of DVDs and some headphones to try and while away the winter months

Weighty issues

I have a real issue with people who moan about a weight problem and how there is nothing they can do about it- especially those who decide to go on TV and talk about it or those that drive 2 miles to the gym park up right outside (normally) in a disabled space and then proceed to walk on the treadmill for 20 mins before going to the cafe to eat a big slice of cake to reward themselves for all the hard work.

However, I am really struggling to get the weight off to get anywhere near race weight 76 - 78 kgs as you can see from the table below I am about 83 at the mo. As I am now stepping up the training it seems a good idea to keep track of my losses or indeed gains
